Birch Lake Memories

A personalized piece that graces the surface of a repurposed, weathered old saw. The saw's original character and history have been restored as part of this piece. On this unique canvas, a depiction of Birch Lake in Northern Ontario as viewed from many of the views observed from riding along in a Pontoon boat.

A thank you for the years of wonderful hospitality and friendship.

Mountain Paddle - Beaver Tail

This locally sourced paddle from Ontario is made out of Aspen making it light weight and a dream to paint on.

The paddle is painted on both sides.

Side 1 - a daytime scene with a mountain overlooking a lake with vibrant bushes and evergreens.

Side 2 is a nighttime version with the northern lights showing up to light up the scene.

The paddle is 57" in length and has been finished with linseed oil and varnish making it water usable. Would look great hanging on a cottage or rustic home wall or while out for an evening canoe on the lake.

The Gathering Place

A gift for the Birch Lake Crew, ready to be hung at the good old Gathering Place.

I found an old sign in a wood pile to be burned. Wood required some work but got it stabilized and opted to painted a Birch Lake style scene (Northern Ontario).

Tried to hit a few highlights about the lake including the rock in front, a small Tom Thomson tree at the point and of course it wouldn't be complete without a birch tree!

Northern Skies

Northern Skies is a stunning three-panel painting of the northern lights.

The painting is composed of three scenes, each depicting the northern lights from a different angle, with varying intensities of blues, greens and purples.

The artwork captures the beauty of the night sky and its ever-changing light show. It is an awe-inspiring reminder of the power of nature and its ability to captivate us.

Shades of Grey

Shades of Grey is my take on Bob Ross's captivating oil painting that showcases only two colours.  Bob did the monochromatic painting to show that even those who are colour blind can still paint.

This painting features subtle gradients of grey that contrast against each other to create a peaceful winter atmosphere.

Ethereal

Silhouetted against a stunning, celestial backdrop of blues, reds, and yellows, Ethereal is a painting that highlights a curved tree on a small piece of land and reflected into the water that captures the invokes a sense of mystery and unknown. It is sure to captivate anyone who views it.
