I am open to do commission work, but very much want to discuss what your looking for before committing. I want to make sure that what you are asking for is something that you will really enjoy.

To make sure you are happy with it, I will often hear out the idea, get to work and when it is ready offer the sale to the person asking for the commission. If they are happy with it and take it great! If it's not quite what they had envisioned, that's okay too and I will offer it for sale publicly.

What is the process of commissioning a custom painting?

1. Subject

Let me know what you are looking to have created. Photos can certainly help describe your vision and what you are looking for, but not necessary.  Typically, I generally paint what I enjoy such as the type of paintings displayed on my website.

2. Size and Preferences

Next, we determine the size of the painting.  Are you looking for something large that will be featured on a wall in your home or something more smaller that occupies a space in an office that you can reflect upon.  

Do you have any preferences for the colour.  Red and pink sunsets, dark vibrant colours with night-time such as northern lights, daytime blue skies!  There are endless options available.  

I also do my own framing when requested so your painting can be done and framed or the unframed canvas if you that is your preference or plan on frame it differently.

3. Creating

Once the idea is established, I'm ready to paint and once complete and dried will show you via photos and offer you first rights to purchase. The timeline for delivery will depend on a few factors such as the size and scale of the work, the drying time, other commissions in process and framing requirements if needed.

4. Shipping

Once payment is received (via e-transfer) the painting will properly packaged and shipped to you.
